Grandparents to remember 9/11 victims in Knock this Sunday

This Sunday (September 11) thousands of grandparents are expected to attend the annual National Grandparents Pilgrimage in Knock hosted by the Catholic Grandparents Association. The Archbishop of Tuam, Dr Michael Neary, will be the chief celebrant with Fr Benny McHale as the homilist. EWTN’s Kathy Sinnott will deliver a reflection. Liam Lawton and Ann Marie Gibbons are guest singers with music under the direction of Finola Higgins-Cosgrove.

Grandparents gearing up for Knock pilgrimage

Preparations are under way for the annual National Grandparents Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine on Sunday September 11. Upwards of 15,000 pilgrims are expected to Knock on one of the shrine’s busiest days of the year. Archbishop Michael Neary from Tuam will celebrate Mass at 3pm, which will be preceded by the Anointing of the Sick at 2pm and followed by the Rosary.

Archbishop Neary to  lead annual ‘Reek  Sunday’ Pilgrimage 

The annual Reek Sunday pilgrimage will take place this weekend on Ireland’s holy mountain Croagh Patrick. This pilgrimage has been carried out uninterrupted for more than 1,500 years. Croagh Patrick has some 100,000 visitors annually with up to 20,000 people expected this weekend.
